Hackathons,judged properly.
How a hackathon runs.
- 1
Teams and statements
Participants register as teams, pick a problem statement or theme, and manage their roster from the app.
- 2
Rounds and rubrics
Define rounds with weighted criteria. Assign judges to panels and send teams for evaluation round by round.
- 3
Rooms and the help desk
Map teams to rooms with volunteers. Teams raise queries by topic and the right point of contact picks them up.
- 4
Submissions and updates
Teams submit their work in the app. Announcements reach every participant as a push notification.
- 5
Results and certificates
Scores roll into a live leaderboard, winners and awards are published, and certificates go out to every team.
Scores you can defend.
Every round has weighted criteria. Judges sit on panels, score from their phones, and see only the teams sent to them. Organisers watch panels complete, then publish results when they are ready.
- Rounds, criteria and weights per hackathon
- Judge panels with evaluation requests
- Rubric or metric leaderboards
- Winners, awards and results pages
Help that reaches the right person.
Map teams to rooms and give each room its volunteers. When a team is stuck, they raise a query by topic and it lands with the point of contact for that topic, not in a crowded group chat.
- Rooms with assigned volunteers
- Help topics with points of contact
- Team queries tracked to resolution
- Announcements pushed to every participant
Questions, answered
How are hackathon submissions judged on Unifesto?
Organisers define rounds and weighted criteria. Judges are grouped into panels and score each team from the Unifesto app. Scores roll into a leaderboard that organisers publish when ready.
Can participants ask for help during the hackathon?
Yes. Teams raise a query by topic from the app. It reaches the point of contact for that topic and the volunteers assigned to the team's room. Anything else goes to the organisers.
Do hackathon teams get certificates?
Yes. Organisers issue certificates to participants and winners from their own template. Each certificate can be verified publicly online.
