1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms are an agreement between Unifesto Private Limited (CIN U63112TS2025PTC208307), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at C/O Malla Reddy Education, Sy. No. 640/P and 641/P, Quthbullapur Mandal, Hyderabad, Telangana 500100, India ("Unifesto", "we", "us"), and you, the person accepting these Terms ("you", "Orbit Lead").
1.2 You accept these Terms by selecting "Accept" (or a similar button) in the Unifesto app or website. That acceptance is an electronic record and is binding under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1.3 These Terms sit alongside the Unifesto Terms of Service, the Unifesto Privacy Notice and the Unifesto Brand Guidelines, which also apply to you. If there is a conflict on anything to do with the Orbit programme, these Terms win.
1.4 If you do not agree to these Terms, do not accept them and do not act as an Orbit Lead.
2. Words we use
2.1 "Programme" means Unifesto Orbit, the voluntary campus programme described in these Terms.
2.2 "Campus" means the one college, university or institution you are assigned to as an Orbit Lead.
2.3 "Institution" means the body that runs the Campus.
2.4 "Campus Space" means the Space on Unifesto set up for your Campus, under which Clubs on that Campus can sit.
2.5 "Club" means a student club, society, fest committee or similar group on your Campus.
2.6 "Active Club" means a Club that has joined the Campus Space and has published at least one event on Unifesto.
2.7 "Programme Lead" means the Unifesto team member who manages the Programme, or anyone they name.
2.8 "Recognition" means the non-cash rewards described in clause 9.
3. What the Programme is
3.1 Unifesto Orbit is a voluntary programme. You take part because you want to, and you can stop at any time.
3.2 As an Orbit Lead you represent Unifesto on your Campus. You do not represent the Institution.
3.3 Your role is to:
- (a) help Clubs on your Campus join Unifesto, where each Club creates its own Space and joins under the Campus Space;
- (b) help Clubs publish their events on Unifesto;
- (c) give Clubs first-line support and pass on anything you cannot answer to Unifesto; and
- (d) where it makes sense, introduce fest committees on your Campus to Unifesto.
3.4 There is no stipend, salary, fee, commission or other cash payment for taking part.
4. Eligibility
4.1 To be an Orbit Lead you must:
- (a) be at least 18 years old; and
- (b) be currently enrolled as a student at the Campus.
4.2 You must tell the Programme Lead promptly if you stop being enrolled at the Campus. Your role will then end under clause 20.
4.3 Unifesto decides who joins the Programme. Applying does not guarantee a place.
5. Your access on Unifesto
5.1 You will get admin access to the Campus Space only.
5.2 You will not get access to any Club's attendee data, registrations, payouts, bank details or money, and you must not try to get it, including by asking a Club to share its login or to add you to its Space.
5.3 Use your access only for the Programme and only as these Terms allow. Do not share your login with anyone.
5.4 Unifesto may change or remove your access at any time.
6. Probation
6.1 Your first 30 days as an Orbit Lead are a probation period.
6.2 To complete probation you must onboard at least 2 Clubs to Unifesto during those 30 days.
6.3 If you do not complete probation, Unifesto may end your role, extend your probation, or confirm you anyway. This is Unifesto's decision.
7. Term, check-ins and pauses
7.1 Your role is rolling. It has no fixed end date and continues until it ends under clause 20.
7.2 If 60 days pass with no new Club joining the Campus Space and no new event published by a Club on the Campus, the Programme Lead will check in with you. The clock starts on the day you become an Orbit Lead.
7.3 If a further 30 days pass after that check-in with still no new Active Club or event, Unifesto may end your role.
7.4 The 60-day and 30-day clocks pause only during exam windows that you have declared to the Programme Lead in advance. Nothing else pauses them unless the Programme Lead agrees in writing.
8. Tiers
8.1 The Programme has four tiers: Lead, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
8.2 Unifesto sets the criteria for each tier, may publish them in the app, and may change them at any time. Your tier is based on contribution that Unifesto has verified.
8.3 Unifesto may move you up or down a tier, including after a correction under clause 14.
9. Recognition
9.1 Depending on your tier and contribution, Unifesto may offer you Recognition such as:
- (a) a certificate of participation or contribution;
- (b) a letter of recommendation signed by a founder of Unifesto;
- (c) a public feature, for example on Unifesto's website or social media (only with your consent);
- (d) a free PRO plan on Unifesto for your own Club, for as long as you remain an Orbit Lead;
- (e) a fast-track interview for a paid internship at Unifesto; and
- (f) consideration for a yearly award.
9.2 All Recognition is at Unifesto's discretion. Unifesto does not promise any particular Recognition, tier, internship, job or other outcome.
9.3 Recognition is never cash and cannot be exchanged for cash. A fast-track interview is an interview only. It is not an offer of an internship or job.
9.4 Certificates and letters will describe only your actual contribution as verified by Unifesto.
9.5 Unifesto may withdraw Recognition that was given based on numbers later found to be wrong or inflated (see clause 14).
10. Nature of the relationship
10.1 You are an independent volunteer.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms makes you an employee, worker, intern, agent, partner or joint venture partner of Unifesto. The only thing you do on Unifesto's behalf is the limited handling of Club contact data under clause 17, on Unifesto's instructions.
10.3 You have no authority to bind Unifesto. You must not:
- (a) sign or agree to anything on Unifesto's behalf;
- (b) make promises about Unifesto's features, timelines, pricing or support;
- (c) offer any discount, free plan, refund or special deal unless the Programme Lead has approved it in writing; or
- (d) say or suggest that you are a Unifesto employee.
10.4 You are responsible for your own taxes, if any arise from Recognition you receive.
11. The Institution
11.1 You must not claim or suggest that you represent the Institution, or that the Institution endorses Unifesto, unless the Institution has said so in writing.
11.2 You must not use the Institution's name, logo or other marks in a way that suggests endorsement.
11.3 You must follow the Institution's rules, including any rules on promotion, use of campus spaces and use of student groups.
11.4 The Institution may ask Unifesto to remove you as Orbit Lead, or to remove the Campus Space. If it does, Unifesto will comply, and your role or access may end without notice.
12. Money
12.1 You must never collect, hold, receive or pass on money for any Club, event or ticket, whether in cash, by UPI, by bank transfer or any other way.
12.2 All payments for events on Unifesto must go through the Unifesto platform and its payment provider.
12.3 If anyone offers you money in connection with the Programme, refuse it and tell the Programme Lead.
13. Brand use and honest claims
13.1 You may use the Unifesto name and logos only as allowed by the Unifesto Brand Guidelines, and only for the Programme.
13.2 You must not:
- (a) change the Unifesto logos or create your own versions;
- (b) register any domain name, social media handle, group or page using "Unifesto" or "Orbit" without written approval;
- (c) make false or misleading claims about Unifesto, its features, its users or its competitors; or
- (d) write, post or arrange fake reviews, ratings or testimonials about Unifesto or any event.
13.3 Follow applicable law on advertising and consumer protection, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
14. Fair play
14.1 Your numbers must reflect real Clubs and real activity. You must not:
- (a) create or onboard fake Clubs or Clubs that do not exist;
- (b) create empty, test or dummy events;
- (c) register yourself, your friends or accounts you control for events only to inflate numbers; or
- (d) do anything else designed to inflate your numbers or your tier.
14.2 Unifesto runs spot checks on Programme numbers, usually every month.
14.3 Unifesto may correct your numbers, your leaderboard position or your tier, and may withdraw Recognition, if it finds numbers that are wrong or inflated. Unifesto's verified numbers are final for the Programme.
15. Conduct
15.1 Be respectful and honest with everyone you deal with.
15.2 No spam. Sharing one post about Unifesto in a WhatsApp group (or similar group) that you already belong to is fine. Posting repeatedly in the same group, adding people to groups without their consent, or messaging people who have not asked to hear from you is spam and is not allowed.
15.3 No harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination or pressure of any kind.
15.4 Follow the law and the Institution's rules at all times.
17. Personal data
17.1 Club contacts. You may collect contact details of Club members (for example a name, phone number or email address) only:
- (a) with that person's consent;
- (b) to onboard that person or their Club to Unifesto; and
- (c) on Unifesto's instructions.
17.2 For that data, Unifesto is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You handle it only on Unifesto's behalf and only as instructed.
17.3 You must not share, sell, publish or use that data for anything else, and must keep it secure.
17.4 When your role ends, or when Unifesto asks, you must delete that data or hand it over to Unifesto, as Unifesto directs, and confirm you have done so.
17.5 Tell the Programme Lead straight away if that data is lost, leaked or accessed by someone who should not have it.
17.6 Your own data. Unifesto processes your personal data (including your leaderboard metrics) as described in the Unifesto Privacy Notice.
18. Confidentiality
18.1 You may learn things about Unifesto that are not public, such as its roadmap, metrics, pricing plans, partners or internal discussions.
18.2 You must keep that information confidential, use it only for the Programme, and not share it with anyone outside Unifesto.
18.3 This does not apply to information that is already public through no fault of yours, or that the law requires you to disclose.
18.4 This clause continues after your role ends.
19. Intellectual property
19.1 Unifesto keeps all rights in its name, logos, brand, platform, software and content. These Terms give you only the limited permission in clause 13.1, which ends when your role ends.
19.2 You keep ownership of content you create for the Programme, such as posts, presentations, decks, photos and videos. You grant Unifesto a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, copy, adapt, publish and share that content, with attribution to you where practical.
19.3 You confirm that content you give Unifesto is your own, or that you have permission to share it, and that people who appear in your photos or videos have agreed to it.
19.4 If you give Unifesto feedback or ideas, Unifesto may use them freely without paying you or crediting you.
20. Ending your role
20.1 You may end your role at any time by telling the Programme Lead.
20.2 Unifesto may end your role at any time, with or without a reason, including under clauses 4.2, 6.3, 7.3 and 11.4.
20.3 Breaking any of the core rules in clauses 5.2, 10.3, 11, 12, 13.2(c) or (d), 14, 15 or 17 may lead to immediate removal from the Programme.
20.4 When your role ends:
- (a) your admin access to the Campus Space will be removed;
- (b) you must stop calling yourself an Orbit Lead or using the Orbit title;
- (c) you must follow clause 17.4 for any Club contact data you hold; and
- (d) Recognition already given for verified contribution stays with you, unless withdrawn under clause 9.5.
20.5 Clauses 9.5, 14.3, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 24 continue after your role ends.
21. Your costs
21.1 You pay your own costs of taking part, such as travel, printing, data and phone costs.
21.2 Unifesto will not reimburse any cost unless the Programme Lead has agreed in writing before you incur it.
22. Limitation of liability
22.1 The Programme is provided "as is". Unifesto does not promise that the Programme, the leaderboard or the platform will be available or error-free at all times.
22.2 To the extent the law allows, Unifesto is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss of opportunity, arising from the Programme.
22.3 To the extent the law allows, Unifesto's total liability to you in connection with the Programme is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand rupees).
22.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
23. Changes to these Terms
23.1 Unifesto may update these Terms. Each update will have a new version number and effective date.
23.2 Unifesto will tell you about an update in the app or by email. You will need to accept the new version to continue as an Orbit Lead.
23.3 If you do not accept the new version, your role will end under clause 20.
24. Governing law and disputes
24.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
24.2 If there is a disagreement, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
24.3 Subject to clause 24.2, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction.
25. Contact
25.1 Programme questions: the Programme Lead, Vishnu Konda, at orbit@unifesto.app.
25.2 Privacy questions and requests: privacy@unifesto.app. Complaints about how your personal data is handled: our Grievance Officer, at grievance@unifesto.app.
16. Social media disclosure
16.1 Because you receive benefits through the Programme, you must clearly disclose that you are a Unifesto Orbit Lead whenever you promote Unifesto, in line with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines for influencer advertising in digital media.
16.2 The disclosure must be easy to see, not hidden in a list of hashtags or behind "see more". Use "#UnifestoOrbit" together with a clear label such as "#Collab" or "#Partnership", or a plain sentence such as "I am a Unifesto Orbit Lead".
16.3 Unifesto may ask you to edit or remove a post that does not meet this clause or clause 13.
