Understanding our policies for refunds and cancellations

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs the terms under which refunds, cancellations, and related requests are handled for event registrations and ticket purchases made through the Unifesto platform.
The platform is owned and operated by UNIFESTO PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, having its registered office in Telangana, India.
Unifesto acts solely as a technology intermediary that facilitates event discovery, registration, and payment processing. Unifesto does not organize, host, control, or conduct events unless expressly stated.
1. Nature of Transactions on Unifesto
1.1 All tickets, passes, or registrations listed on the platform are offered and issued by independent event organizers.
1.2 The purchase of a ticket constitutes a direct and legally binding contract between the participant and the event organizer.
1.3 Unifesto's role is limited to:
- Providing a digital platform for listing events
- Enabling registration and ticketing
- Facilitating payment collection on behalf of organizers
Unifesto is not a party to the contractual relationship between the organizer and the participant.
2. Ticket Cancellation by Participants
2.1 Tickets purchased on Unifesto are non-cancellable and non-refundable by default.
2.2 Participants are advised to carefully review:
- Event description
- Date, time, and venue
- Eligibility criteria
- Organizer-defined refund or cancellation terms
before completing a transaction.
2.3 If an event organizer offers a cancellation or refund option, such terms shall be clearly displayed on the event listing, and binding on both the participant and the organizer. Unifesto shall not override or modify organizer-defined refund terms.
3. Event Cancellation, Postponement, or Modification
3.1 In the event an event is cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, or materially modified, the sole responsibility for:
- Informing participants
- Determining refund eligibility
- Processing refunds
lies with the event organizer.
3.2 Unifesto shall not be liable for:
- Travel or accommodation costs
- Opportunity loss
- Indirect or consequential damages
arising due to such changes.
3.3 Upon receiving explicit authorization from the organizer, Unifesto may assist in refund processing strictly as a facilitation service, without assuming any financial or legal liability.
4. No-Show Policy
4.1 Failure to attend an event after successful registration shall be treated as a no-show.
4.2 No refunds, credits, or exchanges shall be provided for no-shows under any circumstances.
5. Platform Fees and Payment Charges
5.1 Platform fees, convenience fees, service charges, and payment gateway fees are non-refundable.
5.2 Any refund approved by the organizer shall apply only to the base ticket price, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Refund Processing Timelines
6.1 Approved refunds are generally initiated within 5–7 business days.
6.2 Actual credit timelines depend on:
- Payment method used
- Banking institutions
- Card issuers or wallet providers
Unifesto is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial systems.
7. Communication Disclaimer
7.1 Unifesto will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of event changes after receiving official confirmation from the organizer.
7.2 Unifesto does not guarantee advance notification, as event communication remains under the organizer's control.
